About the service

More than a vision test.

Many eye conditions develop quietly, without pain or obvious symptoms, which is why a regular examination matters even when your sight feels fine. A WhiteMelon eye check-up assesses vision, eye pressure and the health of the eye itself.

If you need correction, you leave with an accurate prescription. If something needs monitoring or specialist attention, you leave knowing exactly what the next step is and why.

Questions

About eye check-up

Common questions about this service. For anything else, our team is happy to help.

For most adults without symptoms, every one to two years is a reasonable rhythm. Your optometrist will recommend a schedule based on your age, prescription stability and risk factors such as diabetes or family history.

Vision screening is worthwhile well before school age, and sooner if you notice squinting, eye rubbing, head tilting or a family history of eye conditions. Our paediatric testing does not require a child to know letters.

Only if a retinal examination requires it. Dilation blurs near vision for a few hours, so we tell you in advance and recommend arranging transport home if it applies to your appointment.
