Privacy Policy
How WhiteMelon handles the information you share with us, and the control you keep over it.
Draft policy
This policy describes intended practice for the WhiteMelon product. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and must be before any real launch.01What we collect
Details you give us directly — your name, contact details, appointment preferences and anything you write into a request or consultation. Health information you upload, such as prescriptions and reports, is treated as sensitive personal data.
02Why we collect it
To arrange and deliver the services you ask for: booking appointments, processing lab requests, fulfilling pharmacy orders and maintaining your health record. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use health information for advertising.
03Who can see it
Your health record is visible to you, and to clinicians involved in your care. Sharing beyond that happens only when you explicitly authorise it — for example when you use Secure Share on a report. Service providers who process data on our behalf are bound by contract to the same standards.
04How long we keep it
Health records are retained for the period required by applicable medical record-keeping regulations. Other data is kept only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for.
05Your rights
You can request access to your data, ask for corrections, download your records and request deletion where retention is not legally required. Requests are handled through the contact channels listed on the contact page.
06Security
Access to health information is restricted and audited. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than claim otherwise.
07Advertising measurement
We use the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising. It records page visits and enquiry submissions and shares that activity with Meta Platforms. It is never given your name, contact details or any health information — see the Cookie Policy for detail and for how to opt out.
08Where your data is held
Enquiry submissions are delivered to us by email through our forms provider. Everything else you do on the site — your cart, wishlist and any requests created during a session — is stored in your own browser and is not transmitted to a server.
